Initial jobless claims surged to more 6.6 million last week, the Labor Department said Thursday. That brings the two-week total to about 10 million due to the coronavirus-induced economic shutdown. 

Tyson Foods Commits $13 Million to COVID-19 Hunger Relief 
Talk Business & Politics – March 27, 2020 
The investment includes $2 million in community grants and more than $11 million worth of products donated by the company since March 11. The food donations are four million pounds of protein that support hunger relief programs, as well as meal boxes for company drivers with difficulty accessing food while on the road.

The Australian government launched a jobs site listing public and private sector jobs available for jobseekers looking for work during the COVID-19 crisis. According to Employment Minister Michaelia Cash, the site, Jobs Hub, connects Australians who are out of work due to the coronavirus crisis with work.

Canada to Ban Passengers with COVID-19 Symptoms from Domestic Flights, Trains  
Politico – March 28, 2020 
Canada will ban travelers showing any symptoms associated with COVID-19 from domestic flights and trains beginning Monday at noon, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Saturday.

Jobseekers across India are showing greater interest in working remotely amid the COVID-19 crisis, according to data from job site Indeed. 

UNITED KINGDOM 
The UK Plans to Issue Coronavirus ‘Immunity Passports’ so Brits Can Leave the Lockdown Early 
Business Insider – April 2, 2020 
The UK plans to roll out “immunity passports” to allow people who have contracted the COVID-19 disease to leave the lockdown early. UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock said certificates could be issued to allow people who have built up immunity to the coronavirus to return to “normal life.”

U.S. Coronavirus Cases Top 139,000 as Trump Extends Social Distancing Guidelines Until April 30
CNN – March 29, 2020 
The United States will extend its set of social distancing guidelines until April 30, President Trump said in a coronavirus news briefing at the White House on Sunday. 

POLAND 
Poland Tightens Restrictions Further Against Coronavirus 
Reuters – March 31, 2020 
Poland will impose further restrictions on public life, including closing parks and hotels, to curb the spread of coronavirus and avoid the fate of Italy and Spain, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said.
