PeopleScout Launches its Beyond the Expected™ Managed Service Provider Service Approach

Cutting-Edge Technology Blended with Faster, More Specialized Support Raises the Industry Standard for Managing a Contingent Workforce

Chicago – September 9, 2019 – PeopleScout today launched its Beyond the Expected™ service approach at the North American CWS Summit in San Diego. Beyond the Expected challenges the status quo and anticipates buyers’ expectations with a more specialized, innovative approach to managed service provider (MSP) solutions.

“All MSP buyers expect a strong process that results in cost reduction and compliance,” said PeopleScout President Taryn Owen. “Our Beyond the Expected service approach is designed for those who are looking for something more, with greater specialization, faster response time and ongoing technology innovation to help our clients build their contingent workforce with the best talent, now and in the future.”

The launch of PeopleScout’s Beyond the Expected approach is the culmination of a yearlong reimagining of the company’s MSP practice to better meet the evolving needs of MSP buyers. MSP usage has continued to grow steadily on the back of rising demand for contingent labor, with Everest Group estimating contingent spend under management by MSP providers to be in excess of $140 billion globally. With rising usage comes rising expectations for MSP partnerships to deliver ongoing program evolution, produce actionable insights and leverage emerging technology.

Under the leadership of Senior Vice President of Client Delivery Jennifer Torres, who joined PeopleScout in October 2018, PeopleScout re-structured its delivery organization into vertically-aligned client teams, increased its commitment to 24/7 concierge-level support and invested in technology to elevate visibility across the talent ecosystem. PeopleScout MSP solutions also go beyond the expected cost controls and process administration typical of standard MSP programs to deliver consultative insight, a uniquely transparent approach to partnership enabled by technology and enhanced supplier engagement.

Tenets of the Beyond the Expected service approach include:

Greater specialization
  • PeopleScout client delivery teams immerse themselves in client culture to become proactive partners and strategic advisors
  • Delivery teams are aligned by vertical to enable deeper expertise, better understanding of specific industry trends and effective sharing of market insights and best practices
  • Client needs are put first, every time
Faster response times
  • Communication centralization and visibility through technology improves issue response time
  • 24/7 support available for all clients
  • Concierge-level service enables superior user experience and PeopleScout’s ranking as the No. 1 MSP in customer satisfaction on the 2017, 2018 and 2019 HRO Today MSP Baker’s Dozen
Improved Technology Stack
  • Increased investment in Affinix™, PeopleScout’s proprietary talent technology platform, delivers speed and scalability for MSP clients
  • Affinix easily integrates with VMS technology to harness the power of data and analytics
  • Affinix enables better visibility across a client’s contingent workforce and other labor channels for a total workforce view
Enhanced Supplier Engagement
  • The PeopleScout supplier management team exclusively focuses on curating a client dedicated network of partners – from traditional contingent labor to gig, payroll and independent contractor management suppliers – aligned to specific talent requirements and on improving supplier experience
  • Supplier communications and technology to enable efficient and transparent engagement, greater understanding of client objectives and improved results
  • Proprietary scoring system continuously optimizes performance and rewards suppliers that deliver the best talent

“We understand that authentic, human connections are what make a great partnership and we are committed to transparency every step of the way,” said PeopleScout MSP Client Portfolio Leader Jennifer Torres. “Our client-first Beyond the Expected service approach ensures our clients’ goals are our top priority. This approach allows our teams to immerse themselves in our clients’ culture to understand their specific staffing landscape and the trends that are affecting it, so that they can be consultative guides as we move towards what’s coming next.”

PeopleScout Earns 2020 Military Friendly® Employer Designation for the Sixth Consecutive Year

CHICAGO (August 22, 2019) — PeopleScout announced today that it has been named a 2020 Military Friendly® Employer. This is the sixth consecutive year PeopleScout received the honor.

Organizations earning the Military Friendly® Employer designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 290 companies participated in the Military Friendly® Employers portion of the 2020 Military Friendly® Companies survey.

“We are incredibly grateful for the sacrifices made by all of our veterans,” said PeopleScout President Taryn Owen. “PeopleScout has a long-standing commitment to supporting veterans as they transition back into the civilian world. We are inspired to find and deliver the best talent and know that when we help a service member find a job, we are doing just that.”

PeopleScout is committed to hiring military talent, knowing first-hand that recruiting veterans and military spouses is not only the “right thing to do,” but the right thing for businesses. PeopleScout launched the Veteran Talent Exchange on Veterans Day 2013, which connects thousands of veterans every year to top employers nationwide.

PeopleScout’s parent company, TrueBlue, was a founding member of the national advisory circle on the Veteran Employment Advisory Council, which was created in 2011. The VEAC is committed to hiring veterans and military spouses, establishing best practices for veteran employment and working with other businesses to do the same. TrueBlue is also a proud supporter of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) initiative. As a Friend of HOH, TrueBlue connects service members, veterans and military spouses with career opportunities at TrueBlue and its clients.

Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by VIQTORY, a service disabled, veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) that connects the military community to civilian employment, educational and entrepreneurial opportunities, with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining an organization’s survey score with an assessment of the organization’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicant, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion & Advancement of veterans and military employees.

PeopleScout will be showcased along with other 2020 Military Friendly® Employers in the December issue of G.I. Jobs® magazine, the January 2020 issue of Military Spouse Magazine, and on MilitaryFriendly.com.

Chicago – July 9, 2019 – PeopleScout, a TrueBlue (NYSE: TBI) company and the world’s largest RPO provider, was identified by NelsonHall as a Leader in every category in the 2019 NEAT vendor evaluation for RPO: Candidate Experience, Geographic Footprint & Scalability, Services Innovation, Sourcing Candidates and Technology Innovation.

Nikki Edwards, Principal HR Research Analyst at NelsonHall, said: ”PeopleScout’s proactive approach to bringing to the fore best practices in talent acquisition services and technology, ensuring the candidate is central to every initiative deployed, is acknowledged by NelsonHall and PeopleScout’s clients alike.”

NEAT is NelsonHall’s vendor evaluation and assessment tool, a method by which buyers can strategically evaluate vendors across a range of criteria and business situations and identify the best performing vendors overall. Positioning as a “Leader” on the NEAT vendor evaluation is based on a combination of analyst assessments and feedback from RPO vendor clients. Interviews with RPO vendor clients focus on measuring the vendor’s ability to deliver both immediate benefit as well as to meet future requirements.

  • “Ability to leverage TrueBlue’s other brands and expertise to offer breadth and depth of services to its RPO clients (total talent clients)”

PeopleScout’s 2019 NEXT Talent Summit – NelsonHall’s Recap

PreopleScout – Improving employer branding, driving global growth

This month, PeopleScout hosted its 2019 NEXT Talent Summit in Washington D.C. The event included sessions filled with talent leaders speaking on various trends in talent acquisition – technology, data, employer branding, diversity and leadership.

Gary Bragar, HR outsourcing research director at NelsonHall, an independent industry analyst firm, recently issued a positive blog post on PeopleScout’s annual event, particularly in regard to PeopleScout’s global growth and employer branding methodology.

PeopleScout President Taryn Owen’s opening remarks focused on such global growth, as she highlighted the one-year anniversary of the company’s acquisition of TMP Holdings LTD (TMP), which strengthened its global RPO and talent advisory capabilities.

Bragar’s post comments on the impact TMP has had on PeopleScout: “The acquisition expanded PeopleScout’s global RPO capabilities and EMEA base, and its London office became PeopleScout’s EMEA headquarters. TMP also assisted in PeopleScout’s talent advisory offering by adding services, such as employer branding, recruitment marketing, assessment services and talent acquisition strategy.”

PeopleScout’s Andrew Wilkinson, executive leader, group managing director – Europe and Asia Pacific, and a presenter at this year’s Talent Summit, explained one aspect that drives PeopleScout’s growth is its focus on employer brand value.

Bragar says PeopleScout is excelling at creating a compelling brand experience across the employer lifecycle, particularly with its RPO clients. For example, in the post, he notes PeopleScout’s work with a UK grocery chain, in which they created a campaign featuring videos of a diverse group of people sharing stories about managers who inspired them. The video was viewed 484,000 times with positive feedback, and ultimately exceeded the client’s goal of hiring 3,000 people for a new type of role.

“PeopleScout has also been growing organically, adding over 45 RPO contracts in 2018, and now has over 215 RPO clients with over 300,000 annual hires,” says Bragar. “…PeopleScout continues to be the largest RPO provider in terms of revenues in North America and they have continued to grow globally, across EMEA, APAC and LATAM.”

Bragar closes his post with this statement: “Having attended these events four years in a row, I’ve observed that PeopleScout has a very strong and collaborative relationship with its clients, reinforced by achieving high customer satisfaction marks for quality of partnership in our most recent RPO NEAT vender evaluation.”
