COVID-19 Series: Keeping Candidates and Employees Safe with a Virtual Hiring Solution

As organizations around the globe confront the challenges presented by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, even the most seasoned talent leaders find themselves in uncharted territory. We’re creating a miniseries with our experts here at PeopleScout about the issues that are most pressing during this uncertain time.

We are focused on the safety of our employees and clients, friends, families and loved ones. However, it is important for many organizations to keep their talent acquisition functions moving – whether to provide essential services or to serve our communities by providing jobs. Many organizations are also now adapting to a newly virtual workforce.

In that spirit, in this podcast, we share insights from PeopleScout Global Leader of Affinix Client Success and Strategy Allison Brigden on transitioning to a virtual talent acquisition solution.

Allison has been with PeopleScout since 1995 and has served in roles related to implementing and managing complex RPO programs as well as operations and technology. In her current role, Allison focuses on leveraging technology to elevate the talent strategy and client success through Affinix, PeopleScout’s proprietary talent technology platform. Allison leads an Affinix Client Success Team and our strategic technology partnerships. The Affinix Client Success Team is focused on understanding our clients’ objectives with Affinix and creating positive outcomes. She also possesses a deep commitment to corporate social responsibility, with an emphasis on military veteran advocacy. Allison holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah.

At PeopleScout, we’re all dealing with the same changes—working from home and recording these podcasts from a distance, so things may sound a bit different than you’re used to hearing.

PeopleScout’s UK-Based Talent Advisory Team, TMP Holdings Limited (“TMP”), Wins Four Recruitment Advertising Design (RAD) Awards

Recognition Includes Top Award for Work of the Year for The AA’s “Ant Middleton’s Ready for Anything?” Campaign, Described by Judges as the First of Its Kind

London – February 3, 2020 – PeopleScout won four coveted RAD awards, including Work of the Year as well as in the Innovation, Use of Social and Out of Home Advertising categories for their work with clients The AA and the National Crime Agency, at the awards ceremony held in London on January 30, 2020.

The judges described the Work of the Year winner, The AA’s “Ant Middleton’s Ready for Anything?” campaign as “unique,” “special” and the “first of its kind.”

“It is compelling, innovative, inspiring, real and so expertly put together,” the judges said. “It beautifully connects in a highly emotive way, taking us all on a journey of highs, lows and human endeavour. This team was ready for anything and have produced work that has never been seen before in our industry.”

The AA’s “Ant Middleton’s Ready for Anything?” campaign was a 24-hour, live interactive challenge that embodied their Ready for Anything? employer brand. It featured six brave AA employees following Ant Middleton, former Special Boat Service soldier, through a series of challenges while the public participated across social media. The challenge reached millions of potential candidates and engaged thousands of AA employees and resulted in a significant increase in applications.

“Every year we celebrate the best in our industry,” said Mark Horley, Chair of the Judges, at the awards. “Something great happened in 2019 because this year we’ve seen a huge leap in quality and innovation. The standard of thinking and ideas is incredible.”

“Winning the top prize for Work of the Year is fantastic news” said Robert Peasnell, Deputy Managing Director of PeopleScout. “The RAD awards recognise the best-of-the best; having the recruiting industry celebrate our work in this way is extremely exciting. The AA campaign allowed us to showcase our exceptional creative skills of which we are incredibly proud. As the only RPO with a full-service, in-house, creative communications agency, this recognition demonstrates that it’s possible to recruit in large numbers by offering innovative solutions to our clients’ attraction challenges.”

This is the second time in 12 months that PeopleScout have won top award honours. In October 2019, PeopleScout had a strong showing at the Recruitment Marketing Awards (RMAs) winning the Grand Prix award for the company’s creative approach to recruiting nurses in Greater Manchester, as well as awards for employer branding, recruitment effectiveness and video.

PeopleScout Ranked as Total Workforce Solutions Leader in HRO Today’s 2018 Baker’s Dozen Customer Satisfaction Ratings

Chicago – Dec. 19, 2018 – PeopleScout, a TrueBlue (NYSE: TBI) company and leading global provider of talent solutions, was recognized as a “total workforce solutions” leader and the No. 2 overall provider in HRO Today’s 2018 Baker’s Dozen Customer Satisfaction Ratings.

This is the first time HRO Today has evaluated total workforce solutions (TWS) providers, and the rankings come as PeopleScout is seeing increased interest in TWS from employers looking for a more holistic approach to managing their talent needs.

“Organizations that are interested in implementing a total workforce solution should put PeopleScout at the top of their consideration list,” said Elliot Clark, CEO and chairman of SharedXpertise and HRO Today. “With so few organizations truly ready for what’s next, PeopleScout stands out as an innovative provider that is ready to meet clients wherever they are on their journey to total workforce solutions. PeopleScout is well-positioned to provide access to the best talent, regardless of worker type.”

Total workforce combines recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) and managed service provider (MSP) services. Rather than separating talent acquisition into permanent hires, contingent workers and project fulfillment, companies are increasingly interested in taking a comprehensive view of all the talent in their community enterprise-wide, regardless of worker type.

“We are honored to have PeopleScout recognized in HRO Today’s inaugural Total Workforce Solutions Baker’s Dozen Customer Satisfaction Ratings,” said Taryn Owen, president of PeopleScout. “While each company is at a different stage in their progress toward total workforce management, we are excited to work with our clients at whatever point they are today.”

Earlier this year, PeopleScout was recognized as an enterprise RPO Leader on HRO Today’s 2018 Baker’s Dozen Customer Satisfaction Ratings. PeopleScout was also ranked the No. 1 RPO provider in the “size of deal” category and a “healthcare RPO leader” in this year’s survey. Additionally, PeopleScout was named the No. 1 MSP on HRO Today’s Baker’s Dozen Customer Satisfaction Ratings for the second consecutive year, and PeopleScout’s proprietary talent technology platform, Affinix, won the 2018 HRO Today TekTonic Award in the “candidate experience” category.

“PeopleScout is focused on what’s next to meet changing talent needs,” Owen added. “We are continually enhancing our Affinix technology, expanding our talent advisory capabilities – such as our June 2018 acquisition of TMP Holdings LTD – and we’ve aligned our RPO, MSP and talent advisory offerings to best serve our clients now and in the future.”

Everest Group Report: PeopleScout Acquires TMP Holdings LTD – Another Stride Forward in the Quest for Global RPO Play

Industry analyst Everest Group issued a favorable briefing on the implications of PeopleScout’s strategic acquisition of TMP Holdings LTD.

PeopleScout’s TMP acquisition achieved two primary objectives. First, it expanded PeopleScout’s global RPO capabilities and EMEA client base, team and operations. Second, the acquisition created a powerful talent advisory offering for PeopleScout’s global client base comprised of a broad array of services, including employer branding, recruitment marketing, assessment services and talent acquisition strategy.

In addition to expanding our global footprint, Everest noted that TMP offers innovative and compelling services around employer branding and talent communities, which they expect will create many synergies and complementary capabilities. In particular, Everest predicts that employer branding and other value-added services will be strengthened as a key practice.

Everest Group reports that:

“With the 2016 acquisition of Aon Hewitt’s RPO business, PeopleScout emerged as the largest RPO provider globally (based on the volume of hires managed as part of the RPO portfolio. The current acquisition will help PeopleScout in two significant ways:

  • It will bolster PeopleScout’s presence in the UK and the broader EMEA region, a region where PeopleScout currently lacks significant presence.
  • It will further expand PeopleScout’s product offerings/services portfolio, particularly that of value-added services, by strengthening its employer branding practice.

By and large, this acquisition is set to offer the momentum PeopleScout needs to emerge as a strong global player with a large footprint and considerable capabilities across geographies.”
